Fred Scholes, who lived in the Northern San
Joaquin Valley of California, undertook the huge task of building the
Scholes family tree, from a variety of sources in the US and UK including
Parish Registers, Bishop's Transcripts, the 1851 and 1881 Great Britain
census, and the IGI. He also spent time using the LDS Church
resources in Salt Lake City two or three times a year. His latest database
is featured on this site. Unfortunately, Fred died in September 2006. His obituary supplied by his wife Anna is attached: Click here. Fred put a great deal of his own time and effort into this project, for which we are eternally grateful. If anybody else would like to take on the task of expanding this database further, please let us know. |
